Privacy Policy

Kahya (“we”, “our”, the “app”) is a daily-planner app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is stored, and the limited cases in which any data leaves your device. We designed Kahya to keep your information on your device by default.

1. Data stored on your device

Your tasks, subtasks, categories, recurring routines, sleep schedule, and app settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData). This information is not uploaded to us and is not part of any account — Kahya does not require you to create an account or sign in.

2. AI Planner

The AI Planner is an optional feature. It is powered by Google's Gemini models, accessed through Kahya's own secure server. Data is sent only when you send a message to the assistant, and only the following is transmitted:

• The chat messages you type to the assistant.
• Your existing tasks and subtasks — optional, controlled by a switch you can turn off at any time.
• Your category names, so suggestions match your structure.
• Your wake-up and bedtime, so the assistant avoids scheduling during sleep.
• Your time zone and local time, to resolve dates such as “tomorrow”.

This data is used solely to generate your reply. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and not used to train models. We never send your name, contacts, location, photos, health data, or anything outside the app. Before the AI Planner can be used, the app shows a consent screen describing exactly this; the feature is disabled until you accept. Google processes the request as our service provider — see Google's privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Calendar & Reminders

If you grant permission, Kahya can read your iOS Calendar events and Reminders so it can display and import them onto your timeline. This happens on your device only — your calendar and reminder data is not transmitted to our servers or to any third party. You can revoke this access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Kahya schedules local reminders for your tasks directly on your device. These are local notifications; we do not operate a push server and do not collect a device token.

5. Subscriptions

Kahya Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple; we never receive or store your payment details. To confirm an active subscription, the app sends Apple's purchase receipt to our verification server. This receipt contains no personal contact information. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

6. Analytics & tracking

Kahya contains no third-party advertising and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not build profiles of you.

7. Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app. AI requests are processed transiently to generate your reply and are not retained by us to build a profile of you.

8. Children

Kahya is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

Because your planner data lives on your device, you remain in control of it. You can edit or delete any item, turn off task sharing with the AI, or remove the app to erase its local data. For any privacy request, contact us using the details below.
